In 2012, Biggs Cardosa was contracted by the City of Merced as a prime consultant for the development of the City’s first Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program (BPMP). The BPMP includes site investigation and evaluation, as well as providing information vital for the acquisition of funding and cooperation from Caltrans. The two bridges chosen were decided by having the most critical needs, and were therefore investigated and evaluated. They were the M Street Bridge, a single span slab bridge, and the G Street Bridge, a three span T-girder bridge.
