This project, for which we also provided special inspection services, involved the design of a single-level tieback retaining wall system to repair an existing landslide along Bohlman Road in the hills of Saratoga, California. The slide occurred perpendicular to the roadway alignment, extending across almost half of the total road width, which made construction access to the site difficult. The 72-foot long tieback wall was designed to support up to 17 feet of soil with a two-lane roadway above.
