VA Hospital – Building 650 Expansion, Mather, CA

This project includes design of a new 9,500 ft 2 single-story, steel-framed structure with a braced frame lateral system. The new structure will be built as a seismically separated addition to Building 650. The project also includes evaluation and design of seismic bracing for existing nonstructural components in the existing one-story and three-story portions of building 650. Nonstructural bracing in the one-story portion of the building is required to meet the criteria for an essential facility.
