Bradley Moody Memorial Underpass, Richmond, CA

The project consists of a feasibility study and design for a grade separation structure to separate railroad traffic from vehicular traffic. Biggs Cardosa provided railroad coordination support and structural engineering services for the feasibility studies on six undercrossing and overcrossing alternatives at various site locations in the area. An undercrossing alternative along Marina Bay Parkway was the preferred alternative. The proposed grade separation consists of a 900-foot long by 75-foot wide depressed roadway crossing under a single RPRC/BNSF track.  This Project received an Honorable Mention Award from CMAA in the Category of Transportation for projects with a construction cost greater than $10 M.
