Tustin Avenue / Rose Drive Grade SeparationBiggs Cardosa managed and designed one of five grade separation projects for the OCTA’s OC Bridge program, taking the project from the feasibility development phase to the final PS&E design phase. The project includes a three-span overhead structure along with multiple concrete, masonry and MSE retaining walls totaling over 4500 feet in length. Biggs Cardosa worked closely with all of the project stakeholders which include the Cities of Anaheim and Placentia, BNSF, MWD and OCFCD during the various design stages. Biggs Cardosa coordinated with the CPUC for the removal of the existing at-grade railroad crossing, for the construction of the overhead structure and for the construction of the temporary at-grade crossing at the temporary bypass road. This project was awarded the 2017 ACEC California Honor Award in the Transportation Category. |
