Bridgeway Lakes DevelopmentBiggs Cardosa was responsible for the design of over 14,000 feet of bulkhead retaining wall around the lake perimeter, eight headwall structures, several utility outfall structures, two reinforced concrete box culverts, and a bridge structure. The Southport Parkway Bridge crosses over a channel connecting the two man-made lakes. The bridge incorporates significant aesthetic features, including an arched soffit profile, stone veneering along the outside surfaces of the structure, a structure approach slab with a stamped asphaltic overlay, and a precast balustrade barrier railing with stone veneering. |
