Biggs Cardosa was the prime engineering consultant for the Santa Clara County Light Rail Transit system extension along the Tasman Corridor. The project required the construction of a 7,100-foot long, 56-span, elevated structure through developed areas of San Jose and Milpitas. The project also included the design of elevated platform stations and multiple pedestrian access structures from Park and Ride lots, including elevator towers, escalator troughs and two vierendeel steel truss pedestrian bridges over Capitol Expressway up to 250 feet long.
