Warm Springs BART Pedestrian Access Bridge and Entry Plaza, Fremont, CA

Biggs Cardosa provided project management for the feasibility study and final design for a pedestrian Bart Bridge and Plaza Project. Features include the design of an iconic pedestrian bridge spanning the UPRR mainline west of the new Warm Springs BART station, an entry plaza that connects the bridge to planned transit-oriented development, a UPRR spur track relocation, utility relocations, and preliminary design studies that will outline infrastructure improvements to the new development area.  The bridge will offer access for the residents in the New Warm Springs/South Fremont communities and employees from nearby businesses such as Tesla and Thermo Fisher.  The Plaza will provide a gathering space for the community, seating, bicycle lockers, solar charging stations, and information kiosk and public art.
